I was astounded with the quality of the tutors at BPP. Every tutor is willing to give up time to help you and nothing ever appears to be too great an ask. The tutors are all very good at breaking down complex points and getting them across in a simple way- I couldn't speak highly enough of the tutors at BPP. I genuinely do not have a bad word to say about any of the staff I came across throughout the year.
My experience at BPP was fulfilling and enjoyable. It provided a friendly forum to undertake a well structured and professionally delivered course from which I derived great benefit. I would recommend BPP in the highest terms
Since completing the BPTC I have gone on to commence pupillage at Zenith Chambers. I commence the practising six months of my pupillage in March 2014 and I look forward to utilising the skills gained at BPP.
Guarantee My PlaceThe method of teaching is second to none, and really helps you focus on what will be expected of you in practice. So far my experience has been enjoyable although there are lots to read and study. The workload however becomes easier if you are well organised and focus on working efficiently. Plan ahead early and prioritise work over play and learn the law in order to apply it correctly in an exam. In saying that, it has made me realise that I have made the right choice choosing BPP over a traditional university to study law.
I decided to study at BPP due to its outstanding reputation with top chambers and law firms. BPP offers an avenue into the legal profession for non-law graduates. After having three years at university I was ready to build the gap between university and the working world and BPP does this very well. You learn how to work to a tight schedule in a business like atmosphere. BPP Leeds centre is small so making new friends and contacts is very easy. It is situated in the heart of Leeds with chambers and firms close by which was a real plus when choosing BPP Leeds.
You are taught by legally qualified staff who have real practical experience in the legal industry. The lecturers are very warm, welcoming and friendly and certainly help you if there is an area of law that you do not understand. They bring real-life scenarios in the classroom, providing a unique fun experience. You have plenty of contact time with them so you know who you are and what your strengths and weaknesses are.
Guarantee My PlaceI chose to study at BPP lLeeds because of the excellent location and the employability prospects associated with BPP.
The tutors are accessible, friendly and eager to assist with every aspect of learning. The careers service is very responsive and knowledgable.
The people I met during my studies were really friendly, and in the same position as me. I was impressed with the location of the Law School and the opportunities available in Leeds.
I think the technical side and the practical application of the Business modules will be of benefit to my career in different ways. Commercial awareness is an extremely important factor for law firms, and I think the MA explores the practical elements associated with this and encourages a legal issue to be placed in a commercial context.
I have enjoyed what I have been learning on the modules so far, and I feel it is interlinked with law because law firms are increasingly conducting themselves like a business; the knowledge we will learn through the MA will assist us in how law firms develop to compete in a global environment, and how they strategise to meet these challenges. The MA encourages a broader outlook in the provision of legal advice, however this is an advantage because the advice can be tailored to the client, its objectives and the markets they operate in.
